Manteca Pumpkin Fair 2012

When the leaves start to fall and the weather gets a little nippy, it can only mean one thing, you guessed it, it's PUMPKIN FAIR time in Manteca.


 

The Manteca Sunrise Kiwanis will once again be hosting this annual fall celebration in beautiful downtown Manteca.  We are able to do this due to the wonderful support of our business community and the City of Manteca.  This year we expect to attract over 30,000 people to downtown Manteca October 6th and 7th, 2012.

When the leaves start to fall and the weather gets a little nippy, it can only mean one thing, you guessed it, its Pumpkin Fair time in Manteca.
 
Now for its 28th year, Manteca Sunrise Kiwanis will once again be hosting this annual fall celebration in beautiful downtown Manteca.  For 28 years Sunrise Kiwanis has been able to highlight and promote the Manteca business community, while at the same time raise close to half a million, much needed dollars, for children related local charities.  This year we expect to attract over 30,000 people to downtown Manteca, October 6th and 7th, 2012.  We will also be continuing our tradition of supporting over 2000 physically and mentally challenged adults and youth, lunch and entertainment on Kiwanis Special Access day scheduled for October 5th, 2012.  As always, we charge no admission.  This allows families to enjoy the games, rides, entertainment, shopping, and food at a minimal cost.  This does not come free though.  Our expenses such as advertising, insurance, power, restrooms, security, entertainment, and much more are still in place.  In order to bring Manteca to the forefront, provide a great family fun atmosphere, and raise money so crucial to the many deserving community groups, we need to find sponsors to help underwrite this incredible Manteca tradition.
 This year as in the past, WE NEED YOUR HELP!  We need sponsors in order to continue OUR charitable ways.  W
e anticipate the 28th Pumpkin Fair to be the best one yet.  Be a part of it, and with your sponsorship enjoy the benefits of increased advertising presence to over 30,000 people while helping the community as well.

Dear Entertainers:
It is time to start scheduling our community entertainment for the 2012 Manteca Sunrise Kiwanis Pumpkin Fair.  This year the Pumpkin Fair is being held on October 6th and 7th.   Each year we encourage entertainers from within the community to volunteer to share their talents by performing on the community stage. Last year's celebration was a huge success, and that success was because of community leaders, such as you.  We are again asking for your support by agreeing to entertain for this exciting event.  I am in the process of setting up the entertainment; and scheduling the groups for this year’s event.  It is our hope to have all the entertainers scheduled as soon as possible; to assure publicity prior to the event.  All time slots scheduled in 25 minute increments.  If you are interested in performing this year, please contact me immediately.  Performers' will be scheduled on a first come, first scheduled basis, and slots fill quickly.  Please don't procrastinate in responding..
 
In September you will receive a letter confirming the time, date, and location of your performance.  If you have a preference to performing Saturday or Sunday, I will do my best to meet your needs; however, I am unable to meet requests for specific times of performances.  Additionally, no groups will be scheduled for more than one performance slot unless there is a shortage of groups wishing to perform.  To confirm your participation in this year’s Pumpkin Fair, or for any questions, please feel free to contact me at 209 824-5600.
