Sponsorship Opportunity The Manteca Sunrise Kiwanis will once again be hosting this annual fall celebration in beautiful downtown Manteca. We are able to do this due to the wonderful support of our business community and the City of Manteca. This year we expect to attract over 40,000 people to downtown Manteca October 3rd & 4th, 2009. We will also be continuing our tradition of supplying over 1,600 physically & mentally challenged adults and youth, free carnival rides, lunch and entertainment on our Special Access day scheduled for October 2nd.
The downtown location continues to present some challenges, we charge no admission, this allows families to enjoy the festivities at a low cost, however, our expenses such as advertising, insurance, power, restrooms, security plus much more are still in place.
In order for us to provide much needed dollars to deserving community groups, we need to find sponsors to help underwrite this wonderful Manteca tradition.
This year as in the past, WE NEED YOUR HELP! The Pumpkin Fair through Manteca Sunrise Kiwanis has raised more than $485,000 for our local charities. Click here to download a (or call 1-800 592-7419 option 1) sponsorship form and levels of sponsorship for your review, we hope you can help us in our quest to assist deserving organizations. We anticipate this year to be the best Pumpkin Fair ever.
I would like to thank-you in advance for your consideration in sponsoring the 2009 Pumpkin Fair, any and all sponsorships will help. Please feel free to contact Steve or Scott at 1-800 592-7419 option 1 with any questions or concerns.

Dear Entertainers: This is the Sunrise Kiwanis Silver Anniversary (25 years), and it is time to start scheduling out community entertainment. This year the Pumpkin Fair is being held on October 3rd and 4th. Each year we encourage entertainers from within the community to volunteer to share their talents by performing on the community stage. The location of the community stage is moving this year. We will be located on the Gazebo Stage in Library Park, rather than on Maple Street.
Last years celebration was a huge success, and that success was because of community leaders, such as you. We are again asking for your support by agreeing to entertain for this exciting event.I am in the process of setting up the entertainment; and scheduling the groups for this year’s event. It is our hope to have all the entertainers scheduled as soon as possible; to assure an abundance of publicity prior to the event. If you are interested in performing this year, please contact me immediately.
Following your confirmation, I will contact you with the time, date, length and location of your performance. If you have a preference to performing Saturday or Sunday, I will do my best to meet your needs; however, I am unable to meet requests for specific times of performances. Additionally, no groups will be scheduled for more than one performance slot unless there is a shortage of groups wishing to perform. To confirm your participation in this year’s Pumpkin Fair, or for any questions, please feel free to contact me at 209 824-5600.
Thank you in advance for supporting the 25th Annual Sunrise Kiwanis Pumpkin Fair. Your talents will help make this event another noteworthy experience!
Sincerely, Carol Davis Entertainment Chair
Special Access Day Each year the Friday before Pumpkin Fair is “Special Access Day”. This is a day that is devoted especially for the developmentally disabled. Children and adults between the ages of 18 months to 80 years are given a very special time at the Dell‘Osso Corn Maze. This event draws between 1,200 and 1,600 attendees. The day begins around 9:30AM when theses very special people start arriving. They start the day with all the attractions that the Dell’Osso Corn Maze has to offer including the pumpkin blasters. Then they come back and play games and get their faces painted and enjoy the morning. At lunch time they are served hot dogs with all the trimmings donated by Carl’s Jr., Frito-Lay, St. Joseph’s Medical Center and Sierra Spring Water . After they have this great lunch live entertainment is provided by Jeff Hillstrom. It’s a wonderful sight to see all the attendees get up and dance and just enjoy the music. When they are ready to leave each attendee receives a Trick or Treat bag filled with all kinds of goodies, provided in part by Arvin Home Systems, Wal-Mart, Sierra Office Supply & Printing, Pentel of America, Golden Valley Federal Credit Union, California Milk Advisory Board, J&J Printing and many more. They are also given Pumpkins to take with them thanks to the generosity of the Manteca Pumpkin Grower Assoc. This is the 23rd year for Special Access Day. We now cover San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Amador, Tuolumne, Merced and Calaveras counties with more than 50 facilities attending. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors like Dell’Osso, Storer Coachways, J. R. Simplot Co., Manteca Ambulance, Kiwanis Club of Greater Lodi, Kiwanis Club of Stockton, Manteca Senior Center and all the volunteers this very special day is always a success. We have often been told that this is an event unlike any other for these children and adults. It is a day that all of us enjoy. The smiles on their faces is well worth the time and effort that is put into the day. See our download page for Special Access Day application
